ATHENA 80CC MINARELLI AM6

Athena Cylinder Kit 80cc (d=50mm) with exhaust valve, Minarelli AM6.

This is how an exhaust valve works:

• a slider sittingin the exhaust port opens and closes the port depending on rpm; at low rpm, it closes the port partially which leads to better torque.
• once the engine has reached a certain rpm, the valve is opened with a spring, the exhaust surface area becomes larger allowing for a complete discharge of exhaust gases which in turn means maximum power.

This cylinder is very powerful throughout the entire rpm range - no sudden power loss at low and mid rpm that are so common for small displacement 2-stroke engines.
